Last year for Christmas Virginia and I got a Drone Helicopter. This year, I got a GoPro camera, so we decided to attach the GoPro to the Drone, and we got some awesome videos! I attached a photo of the Drone flying and a photo from the GoPro while it was on the Drone.

Town & Country Christmas Party
On Sunday night, Carrington Stables(Town & Country equestrian), where we ride at, had a Christmas Party. There was a hot chocolate stand, jumps to jump in the ring, a sweets table, mulled wine, and Santa even made an appearance! There was also a raffle for Circle F horse rescue and we raised over $2000!! Just before it started, we brought Manny and Snap over and dressed them up as reindeer. They were a big hit! After almost everyone had left, we let the minis free in the bar aisle and they wandered around, munching on the hay bales. It was a really fun party and we can't wait for next year's!

Snow!
Finally! Vancouver has gotten snow! This morning I was looking out the window and noticed small white flakes falling down. I raced downstairs and there were little white flakes all over the ground outside. It was snowing! All of today at school it kept snowing and eventually there were a few millimetres on the ground. Not much, but it's good for Vancouver!

Oh Christmas Tree!
Well, we ran out of lights so we delayed decorating the family room tree until this evening. We decorated the living room tree on Sunday so now they are both done! Below are the finished products:

Christmas Trees!
Today we got our Christmas trees! We drove around Langley for 3 hours before we finally found a Christmas tree farm. We picked a good tree and our dad cut it down. He was really puffing so it must have been hard! We then picked another one but we didn't cut it down because it was already cut down for us. When we finally got back home we put them up in the house and now we have one in our family room and one in our living room. Since they are fresh cut, they will be green and healthy for about a month. We will decorate them later today.

Otter on the Golf Course
This evening, just before it got dark, I was on the golf course(not golfing, just sneaking around and looking for wildlife and golf balls). There were many ducks on the pond and I was photographing some mergansers when suddenly I heard a loud 'Snort!' I looked up and there was an otter in the pond swimming towards me! It swam around a bit staring at me and snuffling every once in a while. It let me get lots of footage and it even came quite close to the bank where I was standing and I got two screenshots that are pretty good from one of my videos. It would scare the ducks whenever it went under them though, and I hope it wasn't hunting them. This is the second time I've seen an otter on the golf course, because last winter my dad and I saw four on a different pond. This one came much closer than the other ones though. I'm hoping that'll see it again next time I go on the golf course.

Starting to feel like Winter....
Temperatures are dropping and frost is appearing everywhere. It definitely feels like Winter! I got some cool closeup shots of frost on a log, a leaf and some grass today. I think they're really cool because you can see all of the ice crystals.

Turks and Caicos!
So, we just got back from the Turks and Caicos! We had so much fun hanging out in the pool or snorkeling in the ocean. The resort that we stayed at had many different activities, like kayaking, hobie sailing, and water biking. We did the kayaking and the water biking which were very fun. On one of the days, we went Snuba Diving which was really cool. Snuba Diving is like scuba diving, except instead of having the air tank on your back, you have it on a raft above you and the tank's attached to you with a tube that brings the air. We saw so many amazing underwater creatures while diving, like shrimp, an octopus, parrotfish, pufferfish, flounder, crab, and so much more. At the resort we saw a lot of different birds and a LOT of lizards and geckos. On one of the evenings, Virginia and I were swimming in the ocean when we both noticed two lionfish below us! I swam back and grabbed my camera, hoping to get a photo of them. I was looking for them when I suddenly noticed a large and dark shape lying on the sand below me. NURSE SHARK!!!! Of course, I didn't get a photo and Virginia and I went swimming as fast as we could back to shore.
We had a great time in the Turks and Caicos and wouldn't mind going back again.

Thanksgiving and Galiano(again!)
We just got back from Galiano again, but this time we stayed at a different friend's house. We had lots of fun even though we had less time. We explored the rocks down by the beach, around the yard, and up and down the road. We saw a deer, a feral cat, lots of birds, seals, starfish, a dead seal, a dead raven, sea anenomes, crabs, fish and raccoon prints on the back deck. Since it was the Thanksgiving weekend we had a Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday and it was really good. We hope we get invited back soon!
